Kind of Strange

Bones, Brass and Whimsy

WIP - Little bones, the 1st set

The first set of little bones I’ve been working on.  These are works in progress, though fairly well along.

Image heavy.

Unfortunately my camera needs a bit of work, so both the color and focus are a bit off.  I’ll remedy this soon enough with better lighting and perhaps a borrowed camera, but for now it will suffice.

Many more behind the cut…

The Cross Bone

It’s hard to see in this, but there’s actually a brass cross running along the front of this bone.

The Firstbone Son

The first bone charm that I ever made.  Bone, one small gear, and a brass watch hand, matched with varnish, brass tape and a clear poly coat (only the varnished section).

Geared Up

Still requires a post and some poly, but essentially done.

Jaw pin

A mink jawbone with a false bottom canine (it’s an upper jaw canine, forced into a lower jawbone slot). Currently attached to a simple brass pin on the back.

Spiral Down

Upper arm bone of a mink, a watch coil spring, red australian crystal, white crystal, and a very small bit of watch hand that unfortunately does not photograph well (at least with my old-gen camera)

My Femur

The one I’ve claimed for myself.
