PMC + Glass results

I’m breaking this up into two posts, so as not to hog everyones’ bandwidth yet again. (though they are still large images)

The two pmc + glass pieces that I made over the weekend…

First up, the snake:

Explanation and one more behind the cut:

This is probably my favorite piece from the weekend.  He’s a little over a inch from top to end of tail, when measured straight across.

Next up, the salvaged claw:

A little background on this guy:

I made a ring a while back with pmc that wasn’t fired long enough to fully center it.  It was, therefore, quite brittle.  When someone unknowingly sat on my coat at a restaurant, the ring was fractured into many pieces, the largest of which is the claw you see in the pendant above.  The great thing about pmc is that you can re-use bits of it in new pieces.  I built the pendant around the claw and re-fired it. Aside from the somewhat oddly lumpy back, you wouldn’t ever know it was two seperate pieces at one point in time.
